In 1980, my father  (Sgt. Maj. James L. Matthews Jr.) retired from the US Army, and relocated to Roanoke Rapids, NC.  This was the birth of Happy Acres Farm, LLC.  We raise seven varieties of PEACHES (Elberta, Georgia Belle, Gala, Redhaven, Reliance, Lady White and Canadian Norman, four varieties of APPLES (Fuji, Ultra Gold, Red Delicious and Arkansas Black),  Rabbit Eye Blueberries and over 3 acre's of O'Neals, Legacy, Premier, Brightwell and Powder Blue BLUEBERRIES. Quarter acre of Tripple Crown BLACKBERRIES.
